OUR CLEANING PROCEDURE

Carpets, Upholstery and Tile & Grout all require cleaning.

Although the surfaces are different the procedures are similar.

Here is an overview of the

Principles of Cleaning for Health & Appearance

in accordance with all flooring manufacturers specifications and

cleaning industry guidelines.

1. DRY SOIL REMOVAL

A thorough detailed vacuum cleaning with a HEPA filter is used to remove as much dry soil as possible. We vacuum carpets, upholstery and hard surface floors to ensure we capture, remove and properly dispose of “unwanted substances” i.e. dry soils, hair, dander, in-door pollutants and other contaminates.

2.  PRE-CONDITIONING

A pre-conditioner/cleaning solution is applied to loosen and suspend “unwanted substances” soils and spots. Specialized spotters are used for difficult spots. The technician will pre-inspect and pre-test to choose the correct cleaning solutions and procedures for the carpet fiber, upholstery fabric and/or hard floor being cleaned.

3.  AGITATION

To maximize results the pre-conditioner is gently agitated (manually or mechanically) with a brush. We use soft counter rotating brushes for carpets and area rugs; a stiff brush for tile and grout; and for upholstery cleaning we using a variety of brushes depending on the sensitivity of the fabric being cleaned.

4.  CLEAN, RINSE AND EXTRACT

Our truck mounted hot-water- extraction cleaning unit will continue the cleaning process by simultaneously cleaning, rinsing and extracting away all of the cleaning residues, soils, and “unwanted substances”.
We bring our own soft water to each job. Soft water cleans better, rinses better, dries better and leaves no residues. The soiled water is returned to the truck for proper disposal at our facility.

5.  3M SCOTCHGARD

After the cleaning, we can protect your investment by re-applying genuine 3M Scotchgard Protector to your carpets and upholstery.  When your carpets and upholstery were new a protector was applied. Over time that protector wears away. Manufactures recommend re-applying the protector after professional cleaning.

As for the tile & grout we can seal the grout lines after cleaning using StoneTech Heavy Duty Grout Sealer.

6.  GROOM

Grooming the carpet and upholstered fabrics after cleaning and protecting is designed to reset the nap and work the protector into the fibers and fabrics to ensure even application and proper bonding.

7.  SPEED DRY

Using state of the art Air Path technology we can insure proper drying; these air movers pull air down and move it in all directions. We will bring several Dri Pods into each job and move them around as we finish cleaning and protecting each area.

8.  FREE BOTTLE OF SPOT OUT

We will leave behind a bottle of Spot Out (our carpet spot remover) complete with instructions for small spots and spills between cleanings.

And of course, you are always welcome to call for FREE spotting advice.
